Aqua, Green, and Mauve with Golden Butterfly Charms Bracelet

The first comment out of my husband's mouth when I was making this bracelet, as I was watching this week's American Idol women sing, was, "Wow, a variety of color. Isn't that out of the norm for you?" Well, he is right, you know, I usually stick a basically simple color theme and this time I went all out.

This bracelet is a 7" womens golden charm bracelet. This time I used mauve glass leaves, aqua round foil glass beads, cloisonne beads, and various colors and types of size 6 seed beads.

Again, I had alot of fun making this bracelet and I love the way it turned out. I've seen bracelets like this with only one charm hanging, but when I was finished I just felt like the little butterfly was going to need a compaion on the other side, hence the second one next to the last link on the other end. Aren't the colors remanescent of Spring coming up. Hmmmmm, daydreaming! Okay, back to work....sigh!

Aqua Blue Glass Leaves Bracelet

I'm not sure why, but I love doing these bracelets. They are kind of an obsession of mine right now. This particular bracelet is made with aqua blue assorted cylinder mix glass beads and teal glass leaves. I used a 7" silver heart link charm bracelet and 2" eye pins for each of the hanging bead combinations. I'm not sure if you realize the kind of time that goes into these bracelets, if you have never made one, but let me tell you, they take a few hours to put together.

Nonetheless, I had a blast making this one. I also love the colors, as they just go so well together. Of course, I get a wild hair and start going through my bead boxes and find things I forgot I even had. Then I start thinking, "I really need to use those, what if they go out of style?" Not that I'm a big fashion freak, but I would have to wait another 20 years for something to be "in" again!

Something's Fishy

Well last night I watched the ring video from Auntie's Beads and was looking through one of my many bead boxes for something to use. I totally forgot about these cute little glass fish beads that I had and I thought "Why not?". I have seen jewelry out of just about everything else. They actually turned out rather cute and I used 12/20 Gold filled round half hard wire. That was a mouthful.

Anyways, just thought I would share my fishies with you. I am also going to list them on Etsy, which you can find in my shop at http://tlsexton0913.etsy.com/
